Our BirthWorks Childbirth Education course is a comprehensive, multi-series program designed for Upper Peninsula families who want to feel fully prepared for pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. Created for parents and partners to learn together, the course includes a guided workbook and a guided lesson plan that encourages reflection, discussion, and practical exercises. You’ll explore your values, make informed choices, and gain confidence in every step of your early parenthood journey.
The course dives deeply into everything from selecting your birth team and location to understanding how your beliefs, emotions, and past experiences shape your birth journey. You’ll learn comfort measures, labor positions, newborn care, breastfeeding, and nutrition - all grounded in evidence-based guidance. Every session is interactive, conversational, and tailored to your questions and needs. Giving you real tools and strategies to navigate pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period in a way that fits your family.
Costs: $300 per couple. This includes your workbook, lesson plan and up to 5 private sessions with Lacy.
This course is offered in both group and private sessions. The complete course takes an average of 12 hours to complete.
Prep4Birth™
(A Course for Mamas)
Get ready to prepare your body and mind for birth in a fun and empowering way!
Our Prep4Birth course is a 3-hour, hands-on session designed for help mamas strengthen, stretch, and practice comfort measures that make labor easier. Using the 4th Trimester Fitness® Method and a birth ball, we guide you through breathing techniques, pelvic floor connection, and simple exercises that support both labor and postpartum recovery.
You’ll also learn positions to ease common pregnancy discomforts and techniques you can use during labor. This course is available as a private in-home session or as part of a lively group setting with other Upper Peninsula families.
Costs: $100 Per Participant

Prep4Partner™
(A Class for partners)
Get ready to do, not just learn!
This course is about doing, not just learning. Prep4Partner™ helps Upper Peninsula couples feel confident, connected, and ready for birth through hands-on practice and engaging activities. In this four-hour session, you and your partner will learn emotional and physical comfort measures, explore labor positions, and build real skills for encourage a positive birthing experience and how to prepare for the early days of postpartum.
Bonus, you’ll take home handouts filled with photos, helpful tips, and affirmations to keep the confidence flowing long after class ends.
Cost: $150 Per Couple

Prep4Partner™ Class

Prep4Partner is a course designed help you be the best support partner possible. With hands-on learning we will discuss how to support each stage of labor, offer real comfort, use positions that help, and know exactly what to say when it matters most. We’ll cover birth plans, relaxation techniques, advocacy, and how to care for your partner (and yourself) through birth and postpartum. Show up feeling confident, prepared, and ready to support them every step of the way.

Prep4Partner is a 4 hour course. We will provide light snacks and water. If you have a birth ball we encourage you to bring it along.
